Great place, visited my uncle today he was raving about a party he had earlier.. I found out it's a candle light dinner that patients are invited to attend where they get to have a great time with delicious food and music they actually bring the restaurant to them he wanted me to go check for more spaghetti and split pea soup, I'm guessing that was on the menu but it was a bit late already, this made me feel really good that he still has good sense of appetite specially when I haven seemed him since last year. He looked very good I was really impressed ... keep up the great work!
My mother lived at PLCH for four years until she passed away this weekend. She had visitors every single day during that time, so the family got a good look at how the place was run. We have nothing but good things to say about how the staff treats even their most difficult patients. We had some difficulty with billing and reimbursement in the beginning but they were able to solve those problems. The staff dealing with my mom and all other patients in general always behaved in a professional, patient and caring way we will never forget. They face challenges daily caring for people who desperately need them and they do it cheerfully, professionally and with great compassion. Thank you does not begin to express our gratitude.
So moms is in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs.... I could no longer care for her in my home after 17 years of doing so...with her latest medical setback.... Vitas Hospice helped me find a bed for her at PLCC. And I must say they are treating my mom like she's their own mom!!!! I'm so grateful for every single employee there! Thank you so much for your care of my mom!
I want to give them 10 stars
Point Loma Convalescent Hospital has very caring and competent staff members. The facility is well maintained and always clean, which I appreciate. The customer service there is great. I'm always greeted with a smile and my needs and concerns are always addressed. Thank you Point Loma for all that you do for our aging community.
My mom has been here a year and half and considers this place her home. The people that take care of her and do it with loving care. Every one works hard to take care of everything from the facility itself down to her own personal wheels chair. The rehabilitation department is the best anyone could find in this county. I only wish the food was a little better but they are constantly trying. Anyone who chooses to come here whether for short time or long term makes a wise decision.
Due to major dementia, my Mom has lived there for the last two years. I take my therapy dog there to visit with Mom and other patients about 3 times a week. I am very satisfied with the overall quality of care.
